K13: SST Death Flight
Movie: A TV movie from the late 70's starring Robert Reed, Billy Crystal, Peter Graves, and many other low-cal actors.
Basically, the world's first SST plane gets sabbatoged and a toxic flu chemical leaks into the plane. You'll have to see it to see how it turns out.
Opening: Dr. Forrester is back from Las Vegas. He told Larry that he kept on winning money over and over again before getting to the fact that Bert Convey gave him SST Death Flight in the parking lot of Ceaser's Palace. Joel does a spit take when he hears the movie sign.
Host Segment 1: Joel and Crow hook Tom up to a machine that makes him feel pain like humans. He eventually gave in after 3 different painful displays.
Host Segment 2: Gypsy tells Joel that she is over her cold, in which she displays her new sexy voice, the way Joel wanted it. But in the end, it turned out to be Servo mouthing out the words as Gypsy moved her mouth.
Host Segment 3: Everybody is doing the limbo while Servo sings The Banana Boat Song.
End: Joel reads the letter and Servo says to keep the letters coming, and to include what your favorite pizza topping is, much to Joel's dismay.
Special Notes: This was the first episode in which Joel read a letter, rather than taking phone calls. Also, this episode includes a bonus host segment before the theme, featuring the SST Death Flight song, one of the first songs sung on the show.
