303: Pod People

Movie: A man in the woods finds some msyerious eggs, then something which we never see, kills him. Then a little boy finds one egg and takes it home. Meanwhile, a band records a song. Two poachers walk around in the woods. The egg hatches and out pops Trumpy, an ET rip-off. The band, who went camping, then storms in on the people with their hurt friend and Trumpy's species goes on a killing spree. Hmmm.

Opening: The SoL has an "arts chautauqua," where Crow delivers part of his one-man show. Servo begins with "he was the son of a philipino merchant..." then he sobs.

Host Segment 1: Joel shows off his new guitar chord and an explosion is the result. Then the mads demonstrate their Karokie Machine that contains only Public-Domain songs (i.e. Ba Ba Black Sheep, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, etc.)

Host Segment 2: Joel and the Bots sing the song in the movie with some rather odd lyrics. The mads had set-up a mixing board and Frank is wearing the omnious "I'm A Virgin" shirt from the movie. At the end, Dr. Forrester asks Joel what he thought of it. (Ok sign) "It Stinks."

Host Segment 3: Joel sets up the Wall of Keyboards and Crow plays one real long new age note (held by Joel while he put his sandwich down) that simulates a "Yanni chord." Tom announces "Music From Some Guys In Space..."

Host Segment 4: A magical recreation of the stupid stuff Trumpy can do. Stuff is floating around and there's carnival music to boot.

End: Joel packs all the stuff away in a box and starts singing a song called "Clown in the Sky." At the end he asks the mads what they thought.... (OK sign) "It Stinks."

Stinger: (OK sign) "It Stinks"

Special Notes: None
